Special: Custom Sneakers & Shoes Workshop
In this hands-on workshop you will transform your own sneakers, boots, heels, sandals or slippers into a unique fashion piece with Florence from Studio Encore.
Using paints, patches, pearls, rhinestones and decorative embellishments, you will create a personal design that reflects your own style. Florence will guide you through the creative process and introduce techniques used in professional footwear customization.
No experience is required. All materials are provided. Participants only need to bring the shoes they would like to customize.

Florence is the founder of Studio Encore and specializes in custom footwear and sneaker upcycling. Through her work she gives existing shoes a second life by transforming them into unique wearable pieces. During this workshop she shares her expertise in footwear design, customization and creative upcycling.
Special: Quilted Pouch Workshop
In this hands-on workshop you will make your own quilted pouch with Ana from CocoWawa Crafts. You will learn quilting techniques while working with layered fabrics to create a functional handmade piece.
During the workshop participants will work with sewing machines, explore fabric combinations, and experiment with colour, texture and composition in a relaxed studio setting. This is a beginner quilting workshop, but participants should already know the basics of using a sewing machine.
Each participant will leave with a unique handmade pouch.

Ana from CocoWawa Crafts
Ana is a sewing and quilting teacher based in Amsterdam. She trained at the London College of Fashion and teaches across the Netherlands and the UK. Under CocoWawa Crafts she develops modern quilting and sewing patterns, focusing on accessible and contemporary making.
Art for Climate

For two days, Amsterdam House of Arts & Crafts transforms into a space for art, reflection and collective imagination. Organised by Art for Climate, the programme brings together exhibitions, workshops, performances, conversations and community-led activities centred around climate, care and future-making.
Moving between art and participation, the event invites visitors not only to observe, but to slow down, connect and actively take part. Across the weekend you can experience artist presentations, yoga, live music, talks and collaborative workshops throughout the space.
Art for Climate is donation-based, with proceeds supporting the artists, collaborators and future initiatives connected to the project.

Bij Amsterdam House of Arts and Crafts kun je dit weekend Gallery Buibin bezoeken met een nieuwe expositie, rondstruinen over de Maker’s Market op de ateliervloer en aansluiten bij de Create-á-thon (15:00–17:00), een open maakmoment waar je zelf kunt experimenteren met verschillende materialen en technieken.
Het Wallen Festival is een stadsbreed initiatief dat de oude binnenstad op een andere manier laat zien. Door samen te werken met culturele plekken, makers en bewoners ontstaat een weekend vol routes, ontmoetingen en verrassingen door de buurt.

Amsterdam-based artist Jip Zaza presents her first solo exhibition: Earthbound. In her paintings, themes such as feminine strength, nature, dreams and symbolism come together through layered imagery and vivid colours.
For one day, Verlicht becomes home to a collection of works inviting visitors into a world inspired by intuition, softness and the connection between people and nature. With its open atmosphere and light-filled space, the exhibition offers room to slow down, look closely and meet one another through art.
Everyone is warmly welcome to visit the exhibition throughout the day.
