For me it was a dream to be able to make my own pair of shoes. I was absolutely thrilled that I could learn how to design and make shoes. And that is what we offer you. The possibility to learn to design and make your own unique pair of shoes in one of you shoe design courses.
LEARN A NEW SKILLSET
Where I had to learn to make all kinds of shoes I was never going to wear I decided we were going to do it differently. So now you have the chance to make your own unique design at our studio and learn all the tricks of the trade in the process. We are skilled to help you make the shoes you have always dreamed about.
WALK ON YOUR OWN DESIGN

You will go home with inspiration, skills, and your own pair of handmade shoes. And who doesn't want that!
Duration: 7 hours (10:00 – 17:00, every Tuesday or Friday)
Price:
- Basic course: 9 lessons – €1.395,-
- Year course: 30 lessons – €2.895,-
Includes: Use of tools & machines, a pair of lasts, professional guidance by Esther van Schagen, shoeparts, tea

The course is hosted by Jouw stoute schoenen
Esther van Schagen is a skilled shoemaker and founder of Jouw Stoute Schoenen in Amsterdam. With years of experience in the craft, she guides participants through every step of the shoemaking process, from drawing patterns and cutting leather to stitching, shaping and finishing a pair of shoes.
Her approach combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques, always encouraging creativity and personal design. Under Esther’s guidance, you won’t just learn how shoes are made; you will create your own pair, handcrafted from start to finish.
