SEE THE UNIVERSE EMERGE ON CANVAS
LET THE PAINT FLOW - AND YOUR CREATIVITY TOO
The latest painting technique is not only super fun and easy to do, it is also addictive. Acrylic pouring - or paint pouring - combines colour, movement and chance to create a magical experience on canvas.
At Amsterdam House of Arts & Crafts, we have experimented, combined, failed and started again ourselves - until we created masterpieces. Now we are sharing everything we have learned with you in this unique acrylic pouring workshop.
In 2.5 hours, you will learn how to use liquid acrylic paint to create artwork that exudes depth, movement and energy.
You start on a small square practice canvas, so you can first play with techniques such as swiping, dirty pour or flip cup. What colours do you use? How do you make them flow? What happens when you twist or tilt?
If you get the hang of it, choose your ‘real’ canvas: square, circle or rectangle - whatever you like. Want different colours? No problem. With guidance from our experienced teachers, you will create a painting that is truly yours.
It's as if you see the universe emerging under your hands.
The paintings have to dry for 48 hours. The colours become slightly duller; at home you can varnish the work for a glossy finish. You can collect it later or have it sent to you.
ADDICTIVE FUN - AND THAT'S ALLOWED
Many participants want more after this workshop. That is why we have also developed a follow-up course in which you dive deeper into the world of acrylic moulding. More techniques, larger canvases, more experimentation - just as playful, but even more creative.
