Ever wondered how ceramic pieces get those beautiful colors and finishes? You’ll learn how to decorate ceramics using underglaze, brush-on glazes, and ceramic pencils. The result? A unique handmade object to take home and treasure.
During this two hour workshop you glaze your own ceramic object; a cup, small bowl, or plate. You choose your piece and explore different decorating techniques using underglaze. We use Mayco Stroke & Coat brush-on glazes, and glazing pencils. Whether you want to paint, draw, or play with patterns – it’s all possible.
Our instructors will guide you step-by-step, helping you understand how glazes work, how colors interact, and how to bring your vision to life. Feel free to experiment and discover what glaze can do for your creativity.
WHAT DO YOU TAKE HOME
A colourful plate, cup or bowl that you can use in your kitchen or home.
After the workshop, your piece will stay with us for a little while: we will apply a transparent glaze and fire it at a high temperature in the kiln. After about 2 to 3 weeks, you can come pick up your unique creation.
